Indonesian plane goes missing over Papua
There were 54 people on board.
Air traffic controllers have lost contact with an Indonesia passenger plane heading from Jayapura to Oksibil , BBC reports.
There were 54 people including 5 crew members and five children and infants on board of the Trigana Air plane.
The airplane stopped contacting air traffic controllers 30 minutes after having left Jayapura (near Papua). “We do not know what has happened to the airplane and are trying to contact the local authorities. The weather is very bad, it is very cloudy and dark. The conditions are bad for search operations. It has also happened in the highlands,” a representative of the Indonesian Ministry of Transport said.
