International bike-festival in Brest
The international bike festival Brest'2008 has opened opened in the Zhabinka district in western Belarus. It is organized by the Goden Wing motor club fron Brest. Nearly 3000 bikers from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Moldova, Poland and Germany has gathered for the festival, reports Belapan. The average age of the participants is 30-35, with Honda, Yamaha, Harley-Davidson and Suzuki being the most popular motorbike makes represented at the festival.
The festival's program includes a drive-through parade on the city's streets, a visit to the Brest Fortress WWII memorial and a vigil in memory of the WWII victims.
During entertainment events, funds will be raised for a local orphanage.
