Justice ministry denies registration to youth group

The Ministry of Justice of Belarus has refused to grant persmission to register the Young Social Democrats-Maladaja Hramada public organization.
Officials said the organization's statue was in conflict with the Law on Public Associations. The Ministry pointed to the absence of a provision in the statue that envisaged the gathering of a supevisory body.

Besides, the Ministry of Justice also wanted to obtain the exact list of the organization's members. The Young Social Democrats have not yet decided whether they are to continue efforts in order to legalize their organization, according to www.belapan.com
