Justice ministry not to close down entrepreneur's group Perspektyva
Belarus's Justice Ministry has revoked from the Supreme Court its request to shut down Perspektyva, a public association of entrepreneurs, according to the information posted on the ministry's official web site. The Justice Ministry obtained information that this public association did not take a decision to take part in the January 10 unauthorized rally of entrepreneurs and did not empower to do so its leader, Anatol Shumchanka. The latter took part in the protest as a private person, Belapan quotes the Justice Ministry as saying.
The participation Shumchank and Perspektiva's other activists in the protest served as a formal ground for the Justice Ministry to initiate the closure of the association.
Anatol Shumchanka was sentenced on January 11 by a Minsk court to 15 days of administrative arrest.
