Kletsk opposition member included in record book for criminal cases
A Belarusian opposition member from Kletsk Syarhei Panamarou has been included in the Russian record book 2008. 6 criminal cases based on 4 articles were started against him for his political activities, informs Alyaksandr Milinkevich’s website.
The book informs that this is “the biggest number of cases started for political opposition throughout the CIS”.
Syarhei Panamarou used to be a graphic designer. He has his own studio in Kletsk.
The authorities confiscated it in 2005 and fined him for 9 million roubles. Jobless Panamarou got engaged in journalism and started editing a daily “Smart Kletsk”.
Furthermore, he is a regional coordinator of the movement “For Freedom” and a local leader of BNF.
