At least 11 teenagers have died from spice in Minsk
The Investigative Committee believes that in reality there could be much more of these cases.
Investigation Committee of Belarus has at least 11 proven death facts of adolescents and children that happened as a result of a psychotropic overdose.
"To date, we have at least 11 proven facts of death of adolescents and children that happened as a result of spice and mix overdose, but in reality there may be more such incidents," said Andrei Dubouski, head of procedural control over the crime investigation at the Investigative Committee of Minsk.
"The fact is that in some cases the experts cannot detect traces of a psychotropic substance or drug in the body," said Dubouski. "Since we cannot relate facts of death and overdose by 100%, we do not include them in our statistics," he added.
Andrei Dubouski also noted that a criminal case was launched in each proven fact, Interfax reports.
