Lithuania to screen Belarus cargo trains
Lithuania has said it is to beef up controls at the Belarusian border, reports the Interfax news agency. The Lithuanian border guards have installed a special equipment at a railway crossing point with Belarus, allowing them to screen cargo trains.
The Border Control Service of Lithuania said the equipment was used to fight illegal migrants and smuggling. Only the trains from Belarus and other non-EU countries will be subjected to stronger security procedures.
