Lithuanian MP demands reply about Belarus from Grybauskaitė
A member of the Lithuanian Seimas Mantas Adomėnas has criticized Dalia Grybauskaitė’s opinion about Belarus. The MP claimed that her position may indicate a refusal to support the democratization of Belarus. Radio “Liberty” informs about it referring to a newspaper Lietuvos rytas. In Adomėnas’s opinion, the Belarusian election will not be democratic and it is dangerous to support Lukashenka and to say he has a 100% support of the society in such conditions.
Let us remind you that it was reported that Dalia Grybauskaitė claimed at a meeting with EU Ambassadors that Lukashenka’s victory at the election could secure stability and limit Russia’s influence on Belarus.
Adomėnas reminded that leaders of democratic states avoided supporting certain candidates especially those elected in an undemocratic way like Alyaksandr Lukashenka.
