Lithuanian President is ready to allocate elements of US anti-missile system in the country
Lithuania is ready to take part in the programme of allocation of elements of the US anti-missile system in Eastern Europe if the allies need it. The President of the country Valdas Adamkus claimed it in an exclusive interview published in an Argentinean newspaper Nacion. Lithuania is not conducting any negotiations about the allocation of an anti-missile shield on its territory with the USA now. However, the country thinks that the system is an important element of the international and European security.
According to the Lithuanian President quoted by the newspaper, an anti-missile shield would improve stability on the regional and global level.
