Lukashenka agrees to discuss CSTO membership again

Belarus would like to discuss the issue of membership in the Collective Security Treaty Organization again but only after “consultations with CSTO allies”. An assistant of the Russian President Sergei Prihodko claimed it after the meeting of Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Dmitri Medvedev in Sochi.
Let us remind you that Russia is technically the head of the organization due to “the milk conflict” in June when the Belarusian administration refused to take part in a Moscow session of the CSTO council and did not assume the responsibilities of the head of the organization.

According to Prihodko, Russia hopes the issue will be solved by Minsk soon, reports RIA “Novosti”.
