Lukashenka appoints Syamon Shapira as Minsk Province head
Syamon Shapira, who was previously in charge of the Hrodna province, will replace Barys Batura fired after a scandal in Barysau. .
Syamon Shapira (in the photo on the left) was the head of Hrodna Province Executive Committee. 60-year-old native of Russia Uladzimir Krautsou has been appointed to his position by Alyaksandr Lukashenka. He was the chairman of the standing committee for the economic policy at the House of Representatives of the National Assembly . He served as a deputy head of Mahilyou Province Executive Committee in 2002-2012.
