Lukashenka asks Georgia to rejoin CIS
The Belarusian President claimed it at a press conference of the heads of CIS member states.
"We would like Georgia to rejoin the CIS,” RIA Novosti quotes Lukashenka. “There are a lot of people willing to discuss political and economic issues in Georgia.”
The Belarusian leader expressed a hope that “Georgia will hear this message”. Tbilisi had certain reasons to leave the CIS, he noted.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka already asked Georgia to rejoin the CIS at least as an observer at the beginning of 2013.
