Alyaksandr Lukashenka met famous Soviet and Russian poet Evgeniy Yevtushenko, 82, in Minsk on May 5. They discussed modern literature, BELTA reports. Evtushenko commented on some of the events happening in the world and in the post-Soviet territory. In particular, the poet noted Belarus and Lukashenka’s part in the process of settling the conflict in Ukraine.
