Lukashenka pours criticism on Belarus sports sector

Despite huge investments into the development of sport in Belarus, they do not pay off, said Alexander Lukashenka speaking on Friday at the congress of the National Olympic Committee. The official news agency BELTA reports that Belarus has always finished within Top 20 countries at the winter and summer Olympic Games over the past 16 years. But Lukashenka said it was not enough as Belarus should always enter Top 10 countries.

He also noted that Belarus lost its leading positions in skating and skiing.
