Lyabedzka to inform prosecutor general about wrong vote count
Anatol Lyabedzka, a co-chairman of the United Pro-Democracy Forces, is drafting a complaint to the Office of the Prosecutor General to appeal the voting results at the 105th constituency in Minsk. He filed a similar complaint to his election commission on the election day. Anatol Lyabedzka says his main comlaints is about the number of voters who came to cast ballots at some polling stations:
"The data gathered by observers from the United Civic Party and the Belarusian Helsinki Committee differs greatly from the official protocols", he said.
Based on the experience of the previous electoral campaigns, such complaints are routinely "kicked back" and violations "are not found". Lyabedzka has little hope that the prosecutor general will support him but wants "to go to the very end".
