Martsau: Resignation marks generation change in Lukashenka government
Political
analyst Pyotr Martsau told ERB that Interior Minister Uladzimir Navumau's
resignation marked the end of a generation change in the Belarusian leader's
government.
Martsau
does not link the move to the unsolved bomb explosion that wounded more than 50
people during a state holiday celebration in Minsk last summer.
"The
resignation has long been expected and it has taken place. It marks the end of
the replacement of Alyaksandr Lukashenka's first political team. When criminal
cases were opened against deputy ministers, it became clear that his
resignation was forthcoming."
