Mass resettlement of beavers in Belarus?

Beavers may be transported to the Viciebsk Province.

Nobody is going to kill the animals, senior deputy Minister Vital Kulik says. There are territories with a low beaver population in Viciebsk Province, and beavers from Palesse in southern Belarus may be transported there, onliner.by reports.

There are about 75 thousand beavers in Belarus (there were 47 thousand in 2007 and 63 thousand – in 2009). It is twio-times higher than norm. The number of beavers grows at a pace of 3-4 percent annually.
