Medvedev doubts legitimacy of Ukrainian government
The legitimacy of a number of Ukrainian government bodies is doubtful.
Russian PM Dmitri Medvedev has made the statement, BELTA reports.
The fact that the Russian Ambassador was recalled from Kiev means that the Russian authorities do not understand what is going on in Kiev, the Russian PM said. There is a threat to Russia’s interests and Russian citizens’ life in Ukraine now, he thinks. However, Russia will be ready to resume cooperation with Ukraine if a constitutional government is formed there, Medvedev said.
At the same time, Ukraine is an important partner for Russia, Medvedev noted. “We are ready to discuss everything but we need to understand who to communicate with. It would be difficult to communicate with the government of people in masks.”
