Medvedev: No work for millions of Ukrainians in Russia
'Illegal' workers from Ukraine will not be allowed to work in Russia after January 1, 2015, Russian Prime Minister Dzmitry Medvedev says.
Millions of Ukrainians may become unemployed in Russia, Russian PM Dmitry Medvedev told Nezavisimaya Gazeta on Monday. About 6 million Ukrainians usually come to Russia for seasonal jobs (there have been only 4 millions this year) and this is the only source of money for many of them.
"Russians will have to stop it due to Ukraine’s actions. ‘Illegal’ Ukrainian workers will not be able to get jobs in Russia,” Medvedev wrote.
Ukrainians may lose up to 11-13 billion dollars due to the innovation.
Almost 400 highly skilled Ukrainian specialists have work permits in Russia now, Dmitry Medvedev said.
