Mіlіnkevіch invites European Parliament President to meeting in Belarus
The leader of the Belarusian opposition Alyaksandr Milinkevich has invited the European Parliament President Hans-Gert Pöttering and EP deputies to the European March “For Freedom” that will take place in Minsk on October 14.
The politicians met in Krakow at an international conference “From Roman agreements to Constitutional agreement” and their meeting lasted two hours. Milinkevich and Pöttering also discussed the political and social-economic situation in Belarus, ways of cooperation of the EU with the Belarusian authorities and support of the democratic community, independent mass media and the repressed.
The leader of democratic forces also met the Polish President Lech Kaczyński and the speaker of the German Bundestag Norbert Lammert.
