Ministry of Justice demands explanations from journalists
The BAJ received an official letter signed by the head of the department of non-profit organizations of the Ministry of Justice Mr. Kirychenka on December 21. It was an inquiry about the protest statement adopted by the BAJ civil organization in connection with the events that had taken place in Minsk on December 19, informs the BAJ press service.
The Ministry of Justice “suggests” that the Belarusian Association of Journalists should indicate the article of its statute that was used to support “the civil activists who took part in mass riots in Minsk on 19.12.2010” by December 24.
