Ministry of Trade closes down 8 OMA construction stores

8 OMA shops were closed in Minsk, Vitsebsk, Homel, Hrodna, Lida, Zhlobin and Mahilyou on January 11.

The shops were selling expired construction materials, not sticking to the required range of goods and the absence of information about some goods in Belarusian or Russian. Moreover, there were violations in setting discounts and in the usage of measurement devices, the Ministry of Trade told BELTA.

Furthermore, some of the prices were increased for no reason regardless of December 18 moratorium on the price growth. The prices have gone up by about 36% since then.

OMA has been given 10 days to liquidate the violations.
