Minsk businessman joins BPF, runs for MP
A Minsk businessman has joined the BPF Party and is running for MP in Dambrouskaya constituency #103. Vasil Astrouski, 62, was born in Valozhyn. “It is time to be myself,” he told Nasha Niva.
Astrouski has been doing business since the middle of the 1990s. He owns a real estate agency and a travel agency now. He is the chairperson of the Business Development Council in Minsk City Executive Committee and a member of the Republican Council of Entrepreneurs. He has five children. The businessman has been thinking about his political career for a long time and wanted to wait for his son’s graduation from college. “There should be some pluralism,” the businessman believes.
"I have been patient for a long time and I am fed up with it all,” Astrouski said.
