MP: Workers of problem enterprises may lose jobs tomorrow
Workers of the enterprises that do not work for 5 days a week may sloe their jobs tomorrow and should prepare for it in advance, MP Zinaida Mandrouskaya explained the necessity of changes to the Law on Occupation.
Mandrouskaya: “The bill suggests education opportunities for people facing unemployment. We know that some enterprises are practicing part-time work now and the threat of staff reduction in near. Such citizens can get an opportunity to take retraining courses. If the employer pays for it, the expenses may be compensated by the state or budget.”
The bill allows women on maternity leave to take retraining courses too. However, only those who have never worked in their profession or have no practice or profession can do it.
The bill also encourages employers to hire interns. Te state will help the employer pay the wages to such specialists – up to 50% within a year. The final sum of the interns’ wages will have to be discussed with the job centre sending them to work.
