Nigerian kidnappers ask $1.2mn for Belarus hostage
The people that kidnapped Belarus citizen Iryna Ekpo-Uma in Nigeria today contacted the company the woman is working with and demanded $1.2 million for her release, said Victor Goncharov, the Russian diplomat in Nigeria. He said kidnappers put forward no other demands. Goncharov noted that Iryna was alive and in satisfactory condition, reports the Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
