Not all Belarusians to afford biometric passports

Biometric passports will appear in Belarus within the next three or four years.
According to the Minister of Internal Affaires of our country Uladzimir Navumau, it is a forced measure – international demand. But no one will be “obliged” to get such passports because they will cost much more than an ordinary passport.

Navumau also confirmed that the compulsory permission to leave the country if you need to go abroad would be abolished by January 1, 2008.
