Official makes up for her trips abroad

Alyaksandr Lukashenka mentioned facts revealed by the State Control Committee in December: “They even managed to misappropriate enterprise money. The head of the capital construction department of Baranavichy District Executive Committee paid for her foreign trips to the Arab Emirates and European countries with the money. ” (see video, 15^th minute)

A criminal case for power abuse was started against the official. The official travelled to Finland, the Netherlands, Sweden and the Arab Emirates during her vacations and the enterprise allocated over 50 million roubles for it. However, it was noted that the trips were connected with her work.

There were other violations committed by the official– she appointed her son-in law to the position of an engineer although he was not qualified enough for it and did not have any experience in the field. He received the required education later. However, the capital construction department paid for it. The woman also lent money to some employees (the sum reached 95 million roubles) and then she “forgave” them the debts. Statistic data was also distorted.

The woman has already compensated the money spent on trips abroad and “loans”, Intex-Press reports. However, the investigation of her case will continue.
