Opposition member sentenced to 10 days of arrest for minor hooliganizm

Vyachaslau Siuchyk, an active member of the opposition, has been sentenced to 10 days of arrest for minor hooliganizm, according to the ruling by Minsk's Central District Court, reports Belapan.
He was charged with cursing in public places. Siuchyk, the chairman of the Belarusian Society for Preservation of History and Culture Monuments, was detained in the evening of Janaury 9 after his society's meeting.
