Over 1000 people already amnestied this year
The Penalty Execution Department has considered the cases of 4548 convicts who wanted to be amnestied. It will have to consider 4000 more cases.
Over 8300 people have the right to be amnestied this year, BelaPAN reports. Prison administrations have suggested amnestying 1114 convicts, 33 of them are minors. The terms of 1230 prisoners have been reduced. 2204 convicts have been refused amnesty. The reasons for the refusal were rude violations of the prison order and actions brought against the convicts.
