PACE Chairman: Basis for dialogue - release of political prisoners

PACE Chairman Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu has made a speech at the opening of the PACE session in Strasbourg and said he believes that the progress in relations with Belarus can be achieved through a dialogue. 

"However, this dialogue is unlikely to happen while there are people imprisoned due to political reasons. The presidential candidates and human rights activists are imprisoned at the moment, some of them are in poor physical condition. They must be released immediately - this is the basis on which our relations could be continued", — informs PACE's press-center.
