Paris terror and Russian airplane crash victims commemorated in Homel
A group of young people commemorated the victims of the terrorist acts in Paris and of the Russian airplane crash near the Transfiguration Church in Homel on the evening of November 15. They lit over 300 candles (matching the number of the victims of the air crash and the terrorist acts), BelaPAN reports.
An Orthodox priest conducted a service for the deceased.
Young people have been moved by the tragedy, dean Aleh Kastrama noted. “People die; mothers lose their children and children – their parents in every tragedy. We are praying for the victims of the air crash and the terrorist acts today because there are no Russians or Frenchmen, there are children of God living on one planet and the Earth is our home. Every tragedy is a tragedy for everyone.”
