"Pillow Battle" participants detained upon a citizen's complaint
Police stopped the "Pillow Battle" action, which was planned to be conducted in Minsk on September 8 to celebrate the Day of Belarusian Military Honour, informs BelaPAN. It was a non-sanctioned action; however, approximately 100 participants gathered together behind Philarmony building. The organizer of the action, youth activist Andrej Kim, suggested that participants should divide into two groups - warriors of Great Duchy of Lithuania and Moscow warriors - and start the pillow battle. At that moment police arrived and Andrej Kim asked everyone to leave. Nevertheless, according to preliminary information, police detained 6 people. The official reason for that - a complaint of a citizen, who claimed he had been bitten with pillows.
