Poland's first lady calls ex-presidential candidates' wives
Anna Komorowska has declared her support to Volha Nyaklyaeva and Milana Mikhalevich and asked to give her best regards to their husbands.
Poland's first lady called the Belarusian ex-presidential candidates' wives. The converstaion lasted for five minutes and was held through a Belarusian-speaking interpreter. Mrs. Komorowska declared her support and asked what else Poland could do. Milana Mikhalevich has told Euroradio that she asked Anna Komorowska not to stop the efforts to release the political prisoners.
Milana Mikhalevich: "She asked me to tell my husband about her deep respect for him. She also asked what else they could do for us, and how they could help us. She said that she understood the situation we have to deal with, as she had been in the same situation several dozens years ago. She said we should not lose hope".
The wife of the President of Poland also spoke with Volha Nyaklyaeva. She declared her support to Volha as well and recalled the solidarity concert in Warsaw, where the songs by Nyaklyaeus' s poems had been sung.
Volha Nyaklyaeva: "She told me the words of support. She said that she understood our situation well . She also spoke about the concert organized by the Polish radio in Poland. Songs by Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu's poems were sang at it".
In the end of the conversation the ladies declared their mutual hope to organize a concert dedicated to the release of all political prisoners and withdrawal of accusations against them.
