Police detain more than 30 members of “Malady Front” not far from Minsk
A group of activists of an unregistered organization “Malady Front” has been detained in Minsk District. 32 people were delivered to Minsk District Department of the Interior to conduct a check-up of their documents.
One of the organization’s leaders Artur Finkevich informed ERB about it.
“It should have been the last meeting of the Central Council of “Malady Front” before the meeting of the whole organization. We were discussing the strategy of our actions. We gathered in a private house in a village not far from Minsk. Then policemen burst in, broke the door and started pushing people”.
According to Finkevich, all the present “were suggested” getting on the police bus and going to the district police office. A famous politician Pavel Sevyarynets, initiator of creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Party, is among the detained.
