Police do not allow installing information stand in Kurapaty
Minsk District Department of the Interior has not allowed the installation of an information stand in the Kurapaty tract.
According to BelaPAN, policemen in plain clothes have been patrolling Kurapaty since morning. They called their bosses on the phone. The administration of Minsk District Department of the Interior has not allowed members of the Association for protection of monuments to install an information stand dedicated to the Kurapaty memorial.
A map of the tract was displayed there. Moreover, it informed about mass graves of repressed people situated in Kurapaty.
The action was dated for the 20th anniversary of the day of publication of Zuanon Paznyak and Yauhen Shmyhalyou’s article “Kurapaty – the road of death” in the “Literature and Art” weekly.
