Polish band Behemoth may be deported from Russia
Yekaterinburg October District Court is considering the case.
The Polish musicians may be deported home due to a visa regime violation. They do not have a business visa for concerts, Russia claimed.
There are 8 people standing trial, RIA Novosti reports. They were detained on Wednesday night. The Polish musicians spent the night in the migration service detention centre.
‘Religious activists’ protested against Bethemoth’s concerts in Moscow earlier. They claimed that the programme of the metal band ‘included elements insulting believers’ feelings’. They probably meant the occult theme in the stage image and the design of the Polish band’s albums.
