Pope Benedict XVI backs Belarusians in aspiration for freedom

Roman Catholic Pope Benedict XVI said Vatican would support Belarusians in their legitimate aspirations for freedom and democracy. The Pope said this in a statement when receiving new ambassadors in Vatican, including Belarusian ambassador Siarhei Aleinik.

Benedict XVI thanked the ambassador for warm words and noted that he weclomed numerous changes that are presently taking place in Belarus, reports Сatholic.by
