Presidential candidates face problems with publishing programs
A number of the opposition candidates faced problems publishing their programs in the state media. According to BelaPAN, representatives of Rebublican newspapers called to Vital Rymasheuski's electoral headquarters on November 29, saying they refused to publish the candidate's program as he called on Belarusians to defend their choice at the square on December 19 in it. The HQ head Paval Sieviarynets informed they had suggested to edit the text and delete this appeal from it. However, they cannot do that due to legal reasons - the term for submitting the programs to the media expired on November 28.
The state media had pretensions to Ryhor Kastusyou's program as well. First, because he used such words as "lukashism" and "Lukashenka's regime". The editors decided these words abused the state official's dignity, therefore Kastusyou's team substituted them for "authoritarian" and "one-man" regime.
Dzmitry Us said the state media disliked the part of his program in which he compared the current Belarusian electoral system with the one of the Hitler Germany.
Andrej Sannikau, Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu, Mikalaj Statkevich, Viktar Tsiareshchanka, Ales Mikhalevich and Jaraslau Ramanchuk had no problems publishing their programs.
