Born in 1954 in Minsk. Graduated Minsk Higher Engineer Air Defense School and the Military Command Academy of Air Defense named after Marshall Zhukov. Reserve Lieutenant Colonel. Worked in the Administration of the National Security of the State Secretariat of Belarus.Involved in politics since the beginning of the 90s. Since 1995 - Chairman of the Liberal Democratic party. Has been elected to the House of Representatives. Participated in Presidential elections in 2001 and 2006, gained the third place twice with 2,4-3,5% of votes. Married, has two children. LUKASHENKA Aliaksandr



Born in 1954 in Vorsha district. Graduated  historical faculty of Mahileu Pedagogical Institute and the economic faculty of the Belarusian Agricultural Academy (distant education). Worked as a director of the state farm "Haradzets" in Shklou district. Since 1990 - deputy of the Supreme Council of Belarus, the head of the anti-corruption commission. In 1994 won in the second round of Presidential elections. In 1996 conducted a referendum, thus started counting the term of his presidency from the beginning and increased his authorisations. Born in 1946 in Smarhon, Hrodna region. Graduated Minsk Technical College of Communications (1966), studied at philological faculty of Minsk Pedagogical Institute, and at poetry faculty of Literarture Institute in Moscow. Since 1972 worked in the newspaper "Znamya Yunosti". Worked as a chief editor of the main editor's office of literary and drama programs of the Belarusian Television (1978-1987), chief editor of the newspaper "Krynitsa" (1987-1998) and the weekly publication "Literature and Arts" (1996-1999). Since 1978 - the member of the Union of Writers of the USSR. In 1998-2001  — Chairman of the directive board of the Union of Writers. In 1999-2003 lived abroad due to political reasons. Headed the Belarusian PEN-center (2005-2009). Since 2010 - initiator of the civic campaign "Tell the Truth". Works as a director of the research and educational establishment "Movement Forward". SANNIKAU Andrej



Born in 1954 in Minsk. Graduated interpreter's faculty of Minsk State Institute of Foreign Languages (1977) and Moscow Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of USSR (1989). Diplomat since the beginning of the 80s. In 1995-1996 worked as a Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus. In November 1996, just before the referendum, resigned as a protest. Since 1997 - international coordinator of the civic initiative "Charter'97". Organized a series of famous opposition street actions, was arrested and beaten many times. Since 2008 - coordinator of the civic campaign "European Belarus", which sets its goal as entering of Belarus into the European Union. Works as a political observer of the newspaper "Narodnaya Volya". Has a rank of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador. Fluently speaks Belarusian, Russian, French and English. STATKEVICH Mikalaj



Born in 1956 in Slutsk district. Graduated Minsk Higher Engineer Air Defense School. Candidate of technical sciences, reserve Lieutenant Colonel.  In 1991-1995 headed Belarusian Association of Military Men. Was a Chairman of the Belarusian Social Democratic Hramada, Belarusian Social-Democratic Party (Narodnaya Hramada). In May 2005 sentenced to 3 years of restriction of freedom for organization of street protests against fabrication of the results of parliamentary elections in October 2004 in Minsk (his term was shortened by a year because of amnesty). In 2006 he was considered prisoner of conscience by Amnesty International. Leader of the steering committee for creating the Belarusian Social Democratic Party "Narodnaya Hramada". Pensioner of the Ministry of Defense. Lives in Minsk district. 1547 members in the nomination group.

Born in 1971 in Minsk. Lawyer, graduated Hrodna University (distant education) by the specialization "Law". Worked at the plant "Integral" since he was 16 years old, first as a worker, then as a builder. In 1999-2003 was a deputy of Minsk city council. Director of the publishing office "Trivium" (since 1992). Participated in the local elections in 2010. Approximately 5000 people signed for his nomination as a candidate at one of the districts in Kurasoushchyna (Minsk), when it was necessary to collect just 150 signatures. However, officially he gained only 33%, 8% less than the Chairman of the trade union department of the plant "Integral". Married, has a son. Non-party. 1354 members in the nomination group.


TSIARESHCHANKA Viktar



Born in 1950 in Krasnapolle district of Mahileu region. Graduated economic faculty of Homel State University. Worked as a worker, engineer. In 1994 was a head of the administration on territorial affairs of the President's Administration. In 1994-2000 was a Chairman of the Belarusian People's Party. Was nominated as a candidate for President at the elections in 1994 and 2001, but left the distance at the stage of collecting signatures. In 1996-2000 was a deputy of the House of Representatives. Author of dozens of scientific works. Chairman of the Council of the Association of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship. Non-party. Married, has two children.
