Presidential hopeful Ramanchuk officially warned by Prosecutor General's Office
Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus has issued an official warning to Yaraslau Ramanchuk over his calls for unsanctioned actions, reports Belapan. The presidential candidate is yet to receive the warning in writing, but he was informed by phone. Ramanchuk reckons the warning was issued for calling on people to come to October Square in Minsk on December 19 at 2000. The authorities are acting chaotically, fearing a massive people's protest, says the politician.
Yaraslau Ramanchuk stressed that the [October] Square is part of his presidential campaign. It will be a peaceful assembly, when voters will come to hear the poll results from CEC chairwoman Lidzia Yarmoshyna. Ramanchuk sees nothing criminal in this.
