The price control in the field of trade, catering and services was enhanced in Minsk on August 25, TUT.by refers to Minsk City Executive Committee department of trade and services.
It will affect all shops including the online ones. People have been complaining about the prices recently. A refrigerator price in an online shop went up by two million roubles in one day, a man complained. The price increase was ungrounded, the department of trade and services concluded. The complaint was satisfied and the man could buy the refrigerator at the ‘old’ price.
There is no reason to control the prices, the Ministry of Trade used to claim. However, the prices could start growing because of the situation in the money market, senior deputy Minister of Trade Artur Karpovich admitted.
