Probe into missing oppositionist case resumed
Investigation into the case of the missing former Belarus interior minister Yury Zakharanka has again been resumed, human rights lawyer Aleh Vouchak told Belapan news agency.
He said that he had received a notice about the resumed probe on September 26. The former Belarus interior minister and a prominent opposition politician went missing on May 7, 1999.
Human rights activists maintain he was kidnapped and likely murdered on political motives.
