Progress in Belarus-EU relations depends on fair parliamentary elections
Belarus can count on the improvement of relations with the European Union if it holds open and transparent parliamentary elections in the fall of 2008, British Ambassador in Minsk Nigel Gould-Davis told reporters. All EU members states are closely following the process of preparations for the parliamentary elections, Ambassador Gould-Davis said. He stressed that EU member nations hope that the elections in Belarus will be in line with international standards.
