Prospects of cooperation between Belarus and EU discussed in Minsk (Photo)
Representative of the European Union, Gunnar Wiegand, visited Belarusian capital.
On November 19, in Minsk, Foreign Minister of Belarus Uladzimir Makey met with Gunnar Wiegand, the European External Action Service Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia, Regional Cooperation and OSCE. According to the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, the parties exchanged views on the current issues and prospects for cooperation between our country and the EU. The also discussed participation of Belarus in the Eastern Partnership.
The EU representative Gunnar Wiegand refused to meet with the leaders of the Belarusian opposition and politically engaged civil society.
