Putin, Nazarbayev, Rahmon, Sargsyan arrive in Minsk (photo)
On October 24-25, Minsk will host the sessions of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the Council of Heads of CIS member states.
President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Russia Vladimir Putin, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, President of Tadjikistan Emomali Rahmon have already arrived to Minsk.
Meanwhile, it became known that Kyrgyzstan president refused to arrive at Minsk summit. The press office of the Kyrgyz president does not elucidate on why Almazbek Atambayev is absent in the Belarusian capital. First Vice-PM Djaamart Atarbayev will present Kyrgyzstan at the summit.
The agenda includes the meeting between Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin. As expected, they will discuss Uralkali CEO Vladislav Baumgertner who is under house arrest in Minsk. Putin also plans to meet with Ukrainian president Victor Yanukovich.
