Railroad repairs in collision spot near Mahilyou (photo)
A passenger train collided with a truck near Buinichy at about 5 p.m. on Thursday.
The KamAZ driver and his passenger died. Both of them were Uzbeks.
The train was heading for Dnepropetrovsk from Saint Petersburg. Fortunately, no passengers (there were 204) were injured. Two engine drivers were traumatized.
The repairs had to take several hours. However, they continued on Friday night too. About 100 workers and two repair engines from Zhlobin and Mahilou were delivered there.
Railroad traffic with a speed limit has only been resumed in the third railway in Buinichy, the Emergency Control Ministry press service reports.
