114 deputy candidates come to defence of Zmitser Dashkevich
They came up with a common statement in defence of the leader of the international organization "Young Front".
The statement was adopted because of another sentence, imposed on Dashkevich on August 28. Let us remind you, the political prisoner was added another year of imprisonment - allegedly for disobeying to the demands of the prison administration.
The statement says that the recovery of the conflict-free and mutually beneficial relations with the EU and the U.S. cannot be done without the release of political prisoners. The country has not come out of isolation, while there are people imprisoned for their beliefs in the Belarusian prisons, the authors of the statement say.
The statement authors address to the authorities urging to release political prisoners - Zmitser Dashkevich, Mikalaj Statkevich, Mikalaj Autukhovich, Pavel Sevyarynets, Ales Byalyatski, Edward Lobau, Syarhei Kavalenka, Vasil Parfyankou, Ihar Alinevich, Alyaksandr Frantskevich, Mikalaj Dzyadok, Yauhen Vaskovich, Pavel Syramalotau, Artsyom Prakapenka.
Among the signatories there are candidates of the BPF party, the campaign "Tell the Truth," the Belarusian Left Party "Fair World", the United Civil Party, the organizing committee of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (People’s Assembly), the movement "For Freedom."
