Anatol Lyabedzka: It was easier to get to Warsaw than to Astravets
Leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka commented on their trip to Astravets.
The UCP members are in Astravets with a visit today. They want to talk to the local inhabitants about the NPP construction. They have been stopped twice on their way - in Smarhon district and near Ashmyany:
Lyabedzka: "It wasn't just us who got prepared for this trip - the KGB and the police also prepared. They have stopped us twice already. First - near Kreva. There is no doubt that they were waiting for us as they left everything they were doing and ran to their car, jumped in and followed us on the road with alarms".
However, the opposition members plan to return to Minsk tonight to take part in the Chernobyl Way action. Also, activist from Astravets Mikalaj Ulasevich, who stands against construction of the NPP, is going to hold a speech at the action.
