Are CEC, BPF, UCP and "Tell the Truth" satisfied with election?
Yarmoshyna is happy about the turnout, while the opposition - about their work with the population.
109 deputies were elected to the Parliament instead of 110. There is no opposition. Officials make one-third of the elected, one in ten deputies is a high-ranked doctor, and there is the same number of pensioners.
No "Tell the Truth" members were elected. However, the campaign’s bosses are happy with the results.
"I believe that we have achieved the goals that we set. We found the way to the new majority, conveyed our position to them and struggled for their trust. We tried to do it, this is the first step that was taken, and everything happened as we expected ", - says Andrey Dzmitryeu.
The BPF and the UCP stood for a boycott. According to the official data, the boycott failed.
"The BPF has achieved the goals of this campaign. There was a task – to use the campaign as an episode for an outreach. And I think that the BPF candidates coped with this task," – Deputy Chairman of the BPF Ryhor Kastusyou says.
"I do not think that we are winners. But I am sure that the UCP has received a number of bonuses, and those bonuses should work long term. Most importantly, we went to the people with a message that corresponded with their mood and expectations" – the UCP Chairman Anatol Lyabedzka says.
The CEC is also pleased with the results. The turnout is high, the election is valid.
The "Movement for Freedom" Deputy Chairman Yury Hubarevich is disappointed that the opposition could not act in accordance with one scenario. Some observers are also dissatisfied with the election, as some of them were taken to the police department in a "paddy wagon".
