Attempt to censor deputy contender's TV speech reported in Brest
"Censors" did not like the idea of elections "without Lukashenka".
The deputy contender from the 3rd constituency Dziyana Kastsyukovich has informed about it:
"An editor and a lawyer ran up to me and started exercising pressure. They crossed out the word "Lukashenka" (in quotes)... about a fair election without him. It is not allowed, "Lukashenka" is an insult... They even did not allow the word "picket". Let me quote how they said it: "We are the state here, we allow you to speak for 5 minutes and you keep agitating for your ideas here..."
Dziyana Kastsyukovich's speech will be shown on Tuesday evening. If it gets censored, she will consult the Political Council of the United Civil Party and decide how to react to the censorship.
